SKYLINE INFORMATION

Here are some pictures of the different skyline models:

R33 Skyline Series 1 1993 - 1994:

NOTES: The first R33 in the series. The GTS-T has a 2.5L inline 6 cylinder engine fitted with a single intercooled turbo. It had a less aggressive looking front bar than the later models and also has a curved rear wing. Airbags were an optional extra.

R33 Skyline Series 1.5 1995:

NOTES: Has a different front bar to series I, drivers airbag was standard and passenger airbag was an optional extra. The 1.5's rear wing was changed to a more square shape which was used on all R33's after 1994.

R33 Skyline Series II 1996 - 1997:

NOTES: Has a different front end to series I, bonnet, grill, headlights and front bar were changed. Also the interior fabric for the seats is updated, as well as the texture and look of the dashboard. All series II skylines come with twin airbags standard. There was a series III R33 skyline made in 1998, which is fitted with Xenon headlights, but production numbers were quite low as this was the end of the series.

R33 Skyline GTR:

NOTES: The GTR R33 skyline has a 2.6L inline 6 cylinder engine fitted with twin turbos. The GTR is also four wheel drive. It came with a front mounted intercooler standard. The GTR has flared guards front and rear and also has a different front bar and wing compared to the GTS-T.

R34 Skyline 1998 - 2004:

NOTES: This is not just an update to the R33 skyline, it is a whole new car. The wheelbase was shortend, and the car has a smaller feel than the R33. The R34 is fitted standard with twin airbags, and is available in many configurations. The automatic version has a tiptronic gearbox with buttons on the steering wheel to change gears.
